白晃
HAKKO
墨はそれ自体生きていて常に同じ様がなく、その美しさ、難しさに翻弄され、そして同時に強く惹かれる。
二度と同じ線や墨跡は生まれない。
一瞬の高まりや情熱や迷いも正直にあらわれ、だからこそより深く表現できる墨の魅力、その力。
書という伝統的なあり方ももちろんだが、文字を書く行為自体そのものが今後どうなっていくのだろう。
今だからこそ書くことで思考を深め精製し発酵する過程をもっともっとじっくりと見つめていたい。
季節の風の少しの変化に耳を傾け、自分の心の波のうねりやなぎをきちんと確かめながら暮らしつつ制作したいと思う。
書という文化に対して今の時代に生きる自分ができることは何か…これからも問いかけていきたい。
私の作品が「変化し揺れることも含めありのままを受け止め、認めて自分自身と対話し光へ向かう」誰かのきっかけとなれれば幸いだ。
Ink itself is alive, and never bound to a single form. I’m tossed about by its beauty and complexity, and at the same time strongly attracted to it.
No two lines, no piece of calligraphy will ever be the same. Even a single moment of passion or hesitation appears honestly and clearly. Ink’s appeal is in its power of a further level of deep expression.
Of course there is the traditional way of writing, Shodo. However, what will become of the act of writing itself in the future?
It’s because we are in the now, that I want to deepen my thoughts through writing, and take a closer look at the processes of refinement and ‘fermentation’.
I want to lend an ear to the slight changes in the seasonal winds, understand the swells and calms of the waves within my soul, and continue to produce art while living my life.
What can I do for Shodo culture as someone who lives in the current era…? I want to continue asking myself this moving forward.
If my work helps even one person “Accept themselves, including their changes, for who they are. Open up to themselves, and inspire them to head towards a bright future.” I would be overjoyed.
